Introduction
SACOPOR produces and sells paper bags for the cement and mortar industry. SACOPOR was founded in October 1991.
With its first production line completed in May 1993, the company kicked off with a production capacity of 50 million bags per year, allowing it to meet the needs of the Portuguese market. Its second line was set up in May 1997, with operations expanding outside Portugal, thanks to the expansion of the Cimpor group to Spain and Morocco. SACOPOR's production capacity doubled with the opening of the second line.
A 3rd Production Line was installed in August 2005 - one on the cutting edge of technological advances. This expansion was due to the need to decrease the size of cement bags used by CIMPOR factories in Portugal and Spain, as well as in export markets, from 50 to 25 kg.
Sacopor has established itself in the global market in recent years, expanding into selling a significant portion of its products to clients in several markets worldwide.
Sacopor produces more than 250 different types of bags per year.

Products
Sacopor is a paper bag factory in the Cimpor Group founded in May 1993. It produces a wide range of paper packaging for the construction materials sector, particularly for Cement and Mortar manufacturers.
With an annual production capacity of more than 100 million units, the manufacturing plant in Alenquer is set up to meet the most needs of both the Portuguese and international markets.
Product range:
- White or brown Paper / Kraft Bag (70 to 110 g/m2)
- Semi-extensible paper bag
- High porosity paper bag
- Paper bag with or without inner polyethylene film
- Paper bag with either 3 or 4 layers of polyethylene fil
- Paper bag with valve for tube or cement filling.
Sacopor uses a flexographic printing press that uses a combination of up to 6 colours.

- Production of paints spanning the Pantone range

The Environment
All SACOPOR waste is sent to authorised centres where it is properly recycled/treated.
