Stowage
It is supplied as needed for the project and transported by concrete mixers to tubs with a capacity of about 1/3 m3, provided by Betão Liz.
While the mortar is not being used, it should be stored away from extreme temperatures (heat or cold) and protected against moisture loss by covering it with plastic sheeting or a damp burlap.
Ready-to-use mortar with a workability time of at least 24 hours and compressive strength greater than or equal to 6 MPa. Material used for laying non-structural masonry and indoor and outdoor rendering.
ARGALIZ is suitable for non-structural functions such as:
- Execution of ceramic brick, concrete and natural stone panels;
- Plastering on brick or block masonry cloths and concrete surfaces, both in interior elements and in exterior elements.

These values are based on initial type tests carried out in an accredited laboratory as required by harmonised standards EN 998-1: 2016 and EN 9982: 2016.
In order to ensure the correct application and performance of ARGALIZ, the following precautions should be taken:
- Ensure that the masonry is clean and defatted;
- Moisten the masonry so that it is neither too dry nor too wet.
- ARGALIZ has a workability maintenance time of at least 24 hours, depending on the environmental and storage conditions, without the need to add water after kneading and without loss of properties. When requested, the maintenance time of mortar workability can reach 48 hours;
- The application of ARGALIZ should be carried out following the rules of good practice used in the application of traditional mortars.
- Wet curing of ARGALIZ is essential for at least 3 days.
- The mortar shall not be applied at extreme temperatures (above 30ºC or below 5ºC). Do not apply on icy surfaces;
- In the period after application, the mortar should be protected from strong winds, intense sun exposure and rain.
- Do not add water or any other product to the fresh mortar;
- Handle the tins provided in such a way as to ensure their integrity and preservation by cleaning them properly;
- The use of tins with hardened mortar remains causes the deterioration of the properties of the new mortar.
- When cement is mixed with water, alkali compounds are released. For this reason, it is recommended to use gloves when handling ARGALIZ in order to avoid contact of the fresh mortar with the skin;
- In case of contact of this product in the fresh state with the eyes, mouth or nose, wash immediately with clean water and seek medical treatment.
